OUR NEIGHBORHOOD

The Finger Lakes includes 11 beautiful Glacier made lakes in western NY state.  Reed Homestead guest rental is located in the area that includes the Little Lakes of the Finger Lakes; Honeoye, Canadice, Hemlock & Conesus.  We are also within 20 minutes to Canandaigua and less than a hour scenic drive to Keuka and Seneca.  If you love the outdoors & enjoy exploring, you'll love our area!

BIRDHOUSE BREWING CO

Birdhouse Brewing Company Honeoye's new (and first official brewing company), creates small batch, craft brews.  Opened in May 2020, the brewery offers their delicious brews for curbside along with a thoughtful & tasty menu of food items.  The tap room is open for patrons based on NY State covid guidelines, and outdoor seating is available.

RAYMOR ESTATE CELLARS

Raymor Estate Cellars located near our Homestead in the town of Bloomfield NY.  Pam & Herb Raymor have been mastering wine making for 20 years.  Visit their tasting room and enjoy their unique and tasty wines.  Also plan ahead and book brick oven pizza to taste with your wines.  

Pam & Herb are so knowledgeable and inspirational.  It's an afternoon you'll be sure to remember.

Deer Run Winery  located in Conesus is 12 minutes from the house.  Lovely easy drinking wines, Summer Thursday evening music on the lawn & plenty of opportunities to wine taste or attend one of their events.

LETCHWORTH PARK

Letchworth State Park  knowns as the Grand Canyon of the East is a NY State Park with so much to explore.  There are 3 separate falls areas, you can arrange kayaking, canoeing or whitewater rafting.  Great walks, activities and swimming pools.  Enter at Mt. Morris entrance and it's 30 minutes from the Homestead.

BRISTOL MOUNTAIN SKI AND AERIAL ADVENTURES

Bristol Mountain, located 20 minutes from the homestead offers year round adventures; fall sky ride, aerial adventures, winter downhill skiing.& snowboarding.  A great way to enjoy the day and head back to the homestead to enjoy the wood burning stove and unwind.

HARRIET HOLLISTER PARK

Harriet Hollister Spencer Recreation Center  located within 12 minutes from the Homestead has a wonderful overlook to Honeoye Lake.  Beautiful walks , biking riding, picnic, cross country ski or hike in this pleasant spot with breathtaking views.

SNOWMOBILE TRAILS

The winter months are full of wonderful outdoor magic in the Finger Lakes.  In our area, there are miles and miles of trails to enjoy snowmobiling right down the road from our homestead.  Come and enjoy the ride  NYSSA Snowmobile Map  (type in "Honeoye" in the map)

SCULPTURE

Phillipe Faraut, PCF Studios, talents are exceptional. Originaly from Anncey France, Philippe and his family settled in Honeoye 20+ years ago.  Throughout the summer he teaches sculpting to small groups from all around the globe.  His work can be seen around Honeoye at the Mill Creek Cafe & Cornerstone Market.  For more info, follow the link above

CUMMING NATURE CENTER

​Cumming Nature Center is pristine nature preserve with over 6 miles of hiking trails including wetlands.  Check their website for upcoming events, as they offer wonderful programs, including sugar mapling in March along with pancakes​, as well as tea forest hike.  Summer months include yoga in the pines, concerts and of course hiking.

THE FUZZY BUNNY

The Fuzzy Bunny is a local shop featuring yarn and soap.  Saturdays they host "Crafternoons" for creatives to gather and create together (4-6pm).  Local artisan products and class events also offered.
