The exterior is made of bricks prepared in 1803 from the clay in the fields surrounding the home. Over the years, much love and detail has been paid to the proper restoration and care of this historic beauty.​

Built in 1803, the homestead is nestled on 4 acres, surrounded by farmland as far as the eye can see; hedgerows and the Bristol Mountains in the distance. It's truly a unique setting situated in the country side of NY's Finger Lakes. You can find us between the western Finger Lakes of Honeoye, Canadice and Conesus Lakes. Take a scenic drive to the west and you'll find SUNY Geneseo, to the east Canandaigua and Naples.

The Reed Homestead is available for bookings of 3 nights or more for you to relax, unwind and get away from it all. Guests love the accommodations, fresh country air, soft high count linens, tasteful decor, connectivity to nature and simple day to day pleasures.

We are centrally located in the Finger Lakes in the township of Richmond/Honeoye and close to Livonia NY. Honeoye, Canadice, Hemlock and Conesus lakes are a stones throw away. Our laid back lake communities have wonderful treasures like Birdhouse Brewing Company, Twisted Rail in Honeoye, Harriet Hollister Park, many hiking trails, Ember Woodfire Grill, OSB Cidery, Deer Run Winery and Eagle Crest Winery. Nearby, the town of Canandaigua you will find, CMAC performing center, Lincoln Hill Farms, The Lake House, Heron Hill Winery Tasting Room and many breweries. The town of Naples, Bristol Valley Theater, Inspire Moore Winery, Bristol Mountain. To the west, you'll find Letchworth State Park, SUNY Geneseo, and 2 hours to Niagara Falls and 35 minutes to downtown Rochester.
